Lovely 100% cotton vintage Vuokko gown in a simple but genius design.
The most remarkable feature of the style is the huge balloon sleeves that can be worn a number of ways.They have elastic at the cuffs. It is a pullover style, no zippers or buttons. Will fit a size range due to style as well.
There is a matching belt that came along later, before the photos that measure 94" x 2 1/2".
Simply gorgeous and one of the more rare styles by Vuokko. I haven't found another like it in all the research I've done.
Vuokko Nurmesniemi was a principal designer for Marimekko and known for bold color and shape combinations, whimsical looks.
