Beautiful classic design, custom made for a wealthy socialite Betty Abrahamson in 1949. It features a tightly fitted bodice with a wide re-embroidered lace neckline. Tight fitted sleeves with lace trimmed pointed cuffs, closing with 9 covered buttons and loops. Full skirt ends in medium length train and is accented with lace-trimmed peplum that covers the bustle back skirt.
It closes with a metal zipper though that is trimmed with covered buttons that makes it appear to close with them. The entire dress is reinforced inside with a stiffened interfacing. It comes with a full hoop skirt that has a very unique zipper.
The label in the slip is Sidney Bush Original, I'm not sure if the dress is from the same designer since there is no label but this is the slip that came with the dress.
Included is the original veil, which consists of a small circle of opalescent beads and plastic wax like flowers with a front comb to hold it on your head and three layers of tulle.
