Wonderful and very rare vintage Marimekko maxi dress in the Tarha pattern by Annika Rimala. The fabric was designed by Annika Rimala in 1963 and it´s name is “Tarha” (Garden). The name of the dress is Rakkauskirje - love letter. Lovely piece of fashion history.
The dress scoop neck, half length puffed sleeves and pleated frill hem. Silver metal buttons on the front.
100% cotton. Comes with the original cotton belt. From 1960s as evident by the label. Fabric has it's original crisp finish. The tag is missing.
This one is probably 1970s I am told by a Marimekko Expert. I have some earlier versions. I already have pics of the style as shown.
